This really inspires some introspection. As I read how "some people" just think of AI as a tool and that sort of thing, it made me realize that that is 100% spot on to describe my interaction with AI. I'm new here so maybe you have already covered this and can point me to that article, but I would love to read more on how to switch to the other side, and thinking collaboratively with AI and be able to head down the "active collaborating path"! The part of this article with the 3 patterns of concern were also comforting and genuine to hear, and I think it is so valuable that they are talked about!
You are spot on suggesting that AI isn't the problem - it's how we choose to engage with it. If we treat AI as collaborative partners rather than tools, or cheap replaments for humans, we get the benefit of mashing two different perspectives and skill sets together to create something better than either could create alone. Exciting times ahead. If we choose it.
