Great article, and thanks for all of your research on this topic. Something I might be curious to learn more about is how the user’s calibration of their physical, mental, and emotional state prior to prompting can enhance the feedback. I find that I get better responses when I center myself through techniques like deep breathing, journaling, and visualization prior to prompting, even if my prompts contain the same text. I would love to know if that’s simply positivity bias when I am in a better state or if there is something more deeply relational going on there.

Imagine if we could help humans cultivate the same relational skills we strive for in AI calibration—like being highly adaptive, moderately flexible, or constructively neutral when navigating emotionally charged conversations. Not to become robotic or impersonal, but to bring emotional intelligence and regulation to the forefront of our communication. Imagine pairing that responsiveness with the warmth of eye contact or the comfort of a reassuring touch. That’s not just effective interaction—that’s relational mastery. If we could teach this kind of calibration in human relationships, the world would undoubtedly be more compassionate, connected, and conscious. ^my life's goal.
